I got a text at the weekend saying that some girl callled Jenna had added me as a freind on facebook, I don't know of anyone called Jenna, and have never heard of anyone getting a freinig request text, is this someone trying to get my personal etails (Fraud), and how did they get my mobile number, should I be worried, just checked my facebook account and there was no email saying someone had aded me as a freind called Jenna.

No I hardly ever give me mobile number out to anyone, I just deleted the text anyway.
I was only asking as I had to tell my neice to remove hers, she didn't realise everyone could see it.
I got an email the other day from a stranger asking me if they could add me to friends on facebook, pretty astounding really as I am not and never have been a member of facebook, just wondered how they got my email account addy.

That's the way spam works, Essex. They just send out the same mail to thousands of random addresses.

Me three. I deleted it
Type the exact wording of the text into google and you'll be able to find out what sort of scam it is.
I've received the same text a few times telling me I can claim for a recent accident (never had one) by texting back. I typed it into google and found quite a few websites where hundreds of others had got the same message and info on who to complain to as it is an illegal method of marketing.

Stick the number it came from into the search engine of this site... it will tell you what its all about... and you will see other people reporting the same thing...
