I think they did it for a timing thing too, ie John James would be the interview likely to run over so let everyone else get their time first? (i noticed Steve interview was short!)

But i agree, i was gutted to see Corin leave before John Jame knowing full well he finished behind her in the popularity ranks. Sam with Sam to some extent.

Absolutely Fairfax.  I was nearly hyperventilating thinking that he was actually going to get into the final

as a mass cull was happening I think it wouldnt have been such an interesting and enjoyable show if John James had come out first

we ALL knew he was going to come out but to leave him till last alongside Dave added an element of anticipation as to whether we had at last got the chance to get rid of Dave - was a tall order knowing JJ's high percentage all week but there was a glimmer of hope there for a few seconds

at this stage of the game I really dont think it mattered - Tuesdays final is a different story though

At the end of the day I don't think it really matters.  After all the HMs will get to learn their percentages so its not as if they can boast one was out before someone else for other reasons.

C4 did it that way simply for ratings.  It was a way of keeping people watching to the end of the show.   If they had done it  in highest votes first then many people may have switched off.

i agree ............they will all know eventually who polled the highest number of votes. It doesn't really matter - I think it wouldn't have been much of a show if they'd have done it in the correct order TBH.

but I wondered if it was because they were afraid he might walk off and refuse to be interviewed
That's what I think. He looked very sulky on BBBM and didn't get in to the spirit as much as the other evictees. If JJ1's only motivation to go on BB was for the experience ('feck the money, feck the fame' being his mantra) he didn't look like he was getting his value from it.

Absolutely not, especially as JJ had said one of his highlights would be watching Corin leave before him! Plus how must Steve have felt going first when he had the lowest %
And for Corin to go before Sam,he got his way,typical...I do think  Steve got a particularly  raw deal, lowest percentage yet first out,yes he'd to come out a different exit but an exit as easily accessible for the last evictee which rightfully he should have been.
