Grab your tin hat; the House is officially at war. Turf war that is.

After enjoying a lie-in this morning, housemates  awoke to find the sofas shifted and a number of clues on the table.  Housemates smelt a task.

Shievonne said, “I don’t know how they will stretch this task out for two days. It could be something like how well do we know each other. This is going to be awkward.” Oh, little did she know.

Becky got closer to the truth and said: “This task looks brutal. There’s a place for Billy No Mates.”

Big Brother broke the news that they would be divided into two competing groups – the green and the blue teams.

Over the next seven days they will battle it out over a series of challenges .

Evil old BB got housemates to partner up with their best friend in the House.  With 13 housemates, that meant one was going solo. They had just one minutes to get into their pairs. Who do you think went with who? And who was Billy No Mates?

Just watched a video. BB added a twist they didn`t expect. The best pal pairs have been split. Those who stood on the number one marker are in the same team and those on the number two marker are in the opposing team.

Shiev was billy no mates but she got to choose a team. She chose number two team..all I could see was that Luke A was in that team.

Day 29: Colour wars

As the dust settles after the explosive announcement of the task, the House is about to be well and truly divided. It's almost like Big Brother plans these things.

Over the next seven days the housemates will battle it out in two teams – the greens and the blues. Through a series of challenges they will secure themselves different areas of the House.

Once a team has taken a territory, the other cannot enter it.

For such an important task, the teams seemed more preoccupied by the colours they were given. In camouflage trousers and hoodies, Lauren deemed the look a bit blokey.

The green team were quickly dubbed The Bogey Brigade and The Kermit Crew. Luke S proclaimed that green is best because green, "is for go," and that blue isn't even on the traffic light system.

Luke A reasoned that it was because blue was unique. He likened his team to The Smurfs because they were, “blue and quietly confident.”

"The Hulk is green," stated Luke and Conor retorted with, "Blue's Clues is cool," silencing the groups and thus winning the battle of the colours.

But who will win the war for the floor space?

Big Brother 2012 housemates must battle for parts of the house!

BB_DAY 28_ASHLEIGH AS AN OLD MAN

For the next seven days the Big Brother house will be at warâ€Ķ a Turf War, with the housemates battling it out for parts of the house.

Earlier, Big Brother split the housemates into two teams, a green team and a blue team.

Lauren, Ashleigh, Caroline, Sara, Shievonne, Luke A and Conor make up the blue team while the other half – Deana, Luke S, Arron, Scott, Becky and Adam – formed the green team.

The two teams will battle it out in an epic series of challenges to win ownership of different areas in the house. After each challenge, the triumphant team will win control of an area of the House; the losing team will no longer be permitted to enter that area of the House. All areas of the House will be up for grabs.

The first battle will be for the Kitchen. The team that wins this area will automatically be rewarded with a luxury shopping budget this week and will be the only housemates permitted to enter the Kitchen.

The losing team will be banned from the Kitchen and banned from eating any of the food that is currently in there, or delivered there later this week. They will be provided with their own small fridge in the living area and survival rations.

For the first task of Turf Wars, Housemates will be pitted against each other in a test of sheer brute strength, in the game

‘Trolley Dash’.

Trolley Dash will consist of four rounds. Each round will see one Housemate from each team being tethered together. On the sound of the klaxon Housemates will pull against each other to try and reach their granny shopping trolley and wheel it toward their shopping.

Housemates then need to get their trolley to the shelf of shopping and chuck in as much of it as they can, all the time pulling against their opponent, who is trying to do exactly the same thing, in the opposite direction. For every item of shopping Housemates get in their shopping trolley they will win one point for their team.

The team with the most points after four rounds will win the Kitchen and the luxury shopping budget. The losing team will be forbidden to enter the Kitchen, use anything in it and will be supplied with a box of Survival Rations – a bland assortment of uncooked grub.

Day 29: The trolley dash

The first task  - the trolley dash - is underway and the scene of conflict is the garden, with the kitchen being the territory up for grabs.

The team that takes the kitchen will automatically receive a luxury shopping budget. The losers will be banned from the room and not allowed to eat any food currently stored there, or delivered this week.

They will be on survival rations, stored in a small fridge in the living room.

It’s a battle of brute strength with Sara pitched against Becky in round one.

Housemates are tethered together and must pull against each other to reach a granny style shopping trolley, which they have to fill with food from the 'supermarket' shelves.

For  every item grabbed, they score a point for the team. The team that collects the most points over four rounds, wins.

Day 29: The next task is Sofa Hoppers

With Trolley Dash all said and done, the next task the divided gang find themselves entangled in is called Sofa Hoppers – and it's set to decide which team – green or blue – takes ownership of the Living Area. This latest battle will involve our divided housemates hopping around on sofas, in different orders, to rank themselves in various categories. All the while, other housemates will be in the Diary Room, trying to guess what's going on in the Living Area.

At either end of both sets of sofas will be two signs saying MOST and LEAST. Big Brother is set to ask Housemates to sofa-hop into new positions on their settee, according to a particular category.

Once Housemates have settled into their positions, Big Brother will ask their pals in the Diary Room to guess the order their teammates are sitting in.

For every position Housemates get correct they'll win one point for their team. The team with the most points at the end of the game will win control of the Living Area and the losing team will be banned from the Sofa Area and Dining Table from that point on.

Everybody sitting comfortably? Some of our housemates won't be by the time the result of Sofa Hoppers comes in...
