Rebook do some toning type trainers, and I think sketchers might too?

I used to love them for my old on-yer-feet a lot job, that was just a normal 9-5 though

OH says scetchers are comfy and are grease resistent with non skid sole.

Can't go wrong with anything anti-skid

But yes *sigh* Sketchers are great shoes for wearing all day and they do loads of variations aswell so they don't all look the same.

I need shoes for a graduation ceremony that are smart (black preferably) and that are comfy to walk in, i.e. not uber high, if this helps rescue the thread in any way

Josef Seibel. I know they're German, but fantastic shoes. My left foot is a size and a half smaller than my right because I had polio when I was wee and they have managed to accommodate my problem for the last 20 years. No more buying two sizes.

The not uber high part is a nightmare because shops seem to think we can all walk in 6 inch heels these days  

NEXT shoes are usually comfy and they have some of those block heels in aswell which are a lot more comfortable and even if they are really high they are easier to walk in.

Ive been living in flip flops for the past 4 months, ive forgotten what shoes are like

Fit Flops! They're the business  I was in my bareys or flipflops most of the summer,had to start wearing shoes last week when classes started back,and my feet were ow!! Got a pair of fit flop shoe thingies now, and they're really comfy ( and I'm looking forward to the buns of steel! ) 

Nightmare! I'm at the comfy shoe stage!

i went out with a dutch girl who wore inflatable shoes

she popped her clogs

thats really disturbing

Zazz did you mean tour mate was wearing Fit Flops?  There are trainer versions available in a few different makes.  Reebok make EasyTones.....tones you up while you walk.  I need a pair of those myself so if end up buying a pair come back and tell me what you think of them

The ones with the platform heel are suprisingly easier to walk in that what I thought.  I've bought 3 pairs this week for a wedding and 2 are platforms and very high but one pair are the comfiest, easiest things to walk in.  I only need one pair but I'm hiding them til it's too late to return them otherwise my OH is going to freak out.  I've too many pairs that have never been outside the bedroom and he keeps saying they need to go.  Shoe jealousy I say.
