Heh, one of the players just hit his very first home run in his very first at-bat. The rest of the team pretended to totally ignore the young man, as if it hadn't happened before mobbing him. It was very funny.

*whispers* I think he's probably not in the office... well unless someone has to pop in now and then to make sure there is no blood on the 'walls'

I thought it was baseball... but lost my nerve! Oh! I love it when that type of thing happens in cricket... all the pundits saying how wrong it was to include him in a team and Wham! Shows the rest up!

Shocky, he had been called up from a minor league team to take part in a Major League game as is the custom at the end of the season for the better minor leaguers. They don't often get into a game and it is certainly unusual to see a young man hit a home run in his very first ever at-bat. So funny to see the entire team tease with him like that,  but it also means he's been accepted and had good looking prspects for next season.


And the Sox have won 11-6. Time for me to go make dinner.
