shopping in town yesterday some b****** put their hand in my bag and stole my purse, money,cards, bus pass, medic alert card and photos, why can't we bring back stocks? (or hanging)

This happened to the old lady who lives below my parents. She lost the lot, in a charity shop. I had to supervise breaking into her house for spare keys, changing locks, taking her to the police and so on.
I always advise ladies, if they can, not to go shopping with handbags or purses. Keep it in your pocket or your partner, if possible. Handbags are the work of the devil, you don't need all that crap just to go shopping.

(Sorry me 'phone went) I have loads of sympaathy, the lady was absolutely devastated but one must realise that there are people out there who go out with the full intention of stealing bags, charity collecting tins and so on, from the vunerable. The moral aspect doesn't occur to them, the easier the better.

Yes! Sorry! I hope that I didn't come across as uncaring. I was so f****** angry though. I went through all the stages of seeing about CCTV and such. It seemed to me that the powers put it down to experience and that it's up to someone to catch one of these twats red-handed.

What a horribly upsetting thing to happen. The same thing happened to my mum several years ago ...............it took her a long time to get over it. Not nice at all!

i was in a charity shop! they had no cctv but the police were going to look at the towns cctv to see if they recognised anyone leaving the shop, it is such a pain cancelling the bank cards ect and i can't replace the photo's, i don't often carry a lot of money but we were going shopping, it's the fact that they were in my hand bag is so upsetting. thanks for the hugs
