The point about Murray is that he's not very diplomatic imho. He whips up the crowd at Wimbledon to cheer him on and the next minute he'll tell us he will cheer on any team playing England. As I said earlier in this thread, I don't agree with the nastiness, but he should be a wee bit careful about what he says (and when and how).

i remember when he said he wanted portugal to beat england

but i still think he can say what he believes in

and he's still a dour sounding/looking bloke

and ive used my freedom of speech to say that about him a few times

I hope Murray doesn't get booed next year at Wimbledon, as that's nasty and rude...but I hope he gets the same reception that all other players that come to the tournament get that the British tennis followers have no feelings about, and he gets politely applauded onto the court, and his good shots get applause, but no flag waving, cheering support that he used to get...he should be treated like all the other non Brit players.
