What about those of us who are British, are we to be avoided too? Do we come under your apparent dislike of the 'english'?
I was born in England of Polish and Irish immigrants. I am first generation British and my loyalties lie with the Union that made it possible for my parents, in particular my father, to find a safe haven to settle down after the war. Which incidentally could just has well have been in Scotland as he was moved to barracks there while still in the Polish Free Army while they decided what to do with them after the war ended.
Also if the vote is a yes vote do the Scots MP's still get to sit in the Union parliament? I don't think they should if they are leaving the Union.
Most of all I find it sad how much hate there is to one of the other countries in the union and they don't even have a devolved parliament of their own to make decisions for themselves, unlike the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish have.
I must say, with the hate I see sometimes I am inclined to feel what has been said by others, as Jackson quoted, which is just bugger off then.. and that makes me very sad that I feel like that because of where I happen to live and the fact my fellow Brits 'hate' it...
Really hope we all stay United, I am proud to be British and be part of the 4 countries and traditions the UK encompasses.. but lately I just feel sad about it all and even a tad angry sometimes about some of the things I read putting the English down.. I do understand a lot of it is against parliament but it does sometimes feel it is against the English people as well
