I'm paranoid about people getting my info.

But it isn't true that my family only know me as Yogi.

Actually, my dad does call me Yogi, it's his nickname for me.

Imo, the blame will lay firmly at Salmond's door.

Cameron had the option of giving more devolution if the outcome of the referendum was YES, but he wouldn't go for it, so we're stuck with yes or no.

Tbh Cologne I think it should be just yes or no ......sad as it would be ....and I'm praying it doesn't happen ....but if the break comes then it has to be a clean one IMO .

Do the turf accountants know something we don't? As the media report that things are close, the prices seem to go the other way. By explanation, anyone convinced that the yes vote will win can put a tenner on and receive forty poonds back.

Actually, 2/7 is the "best" price available for a "No" vote: most of the bookies are only offering 1/4, and several only 1/5.

It's very odd, especially in the context of those stories a few weeks ago that some bookies in Scotland were getting no bets at all on a "No" result (normally you would expect a lot of betting on a result to bring the price down), Admittedly though, at that point it was No: 1/8, which I certainly wouldn't have put a bet on, whereas they had Yes: 9/2, which even at that stage looked very attractive. So the odds have come in a bit, but still not as much as you'd expect from the polls...

I only meant "attractive" from a gambling perspective. Just to be clear here: I was not commenting on the potential result, and  - as we've been discussing - the bookies odds appear to be out of step with the current polls anyway (although of course the polls could also be out of step with the reality on Thursday...  )

As I mentioned on another forum at the time, I could well imagine even "Better Together" supporters putting a tenner on "Yes" at 9/2, because if they lost it would at least mean winning enough for a couple of bottles of scotch to drown their sorrows with...

Jeez.

It's a sad day when Eugene takes the piss.

Well, OK: a couple of cheap bottles, or one bottle of the good stuff...

any more devolution and they will be independent in practical terms, but with the security of the rUK picking up the pieces IF and I'm not saying anything will go wrong, but if it does they have a security blanket and that's not fair to the rest of us.  For me it's either full independence or you stay and shut up.

Also if there is a further call for independence again if the decision this time is yes to staying, it must be funded by Scotland alone.  We can't keep having pushes for independence every few years - it will de-stabilize the UK.

that's my two-penneth on this subject

Ooo and personally I'm all in favour of an English assembly with us making decisions for ourselves without input from Scotland, Wales and NI

Even with a yes, (if they get everything they want(the monarchy,BBC and the Pound) they will not be independent.

A Scottish pound should not be currency linked to the rUK if they do - as I say full independence should strike that out.

As for her Maj I've no feelings on that subject   well I do but I'd best not say what I think of her maj

I don't mind the monarchy, I used to though, I must have mellowed or given up, not sure which.

Can't see Mr Salmond accepting  a Scottish pound, he wants the security of sterling.

He certainly won't want the euro, will he...even if they let him in..

Sorry Baz I just saw your question  I'll go have a look at my FB settings cos I can't remember exactly

Here you go Bazzer

On the blue bar at the top of your FB - far right side there's a black triangular button > click it to drop down menu > click Settings> brings you to General Account Settings, where on the right hand side edit button you can edit or choose an alternative name, username and your other settings too ...

Hope that makes sense?

Thanks Rosie I'm on the app ...and while it says I can add an alternative/nickname it doesn't give me the option of a username
