Do you think there should be a recount?

 

He was the one I wanted to win and I many people I know voted for him, also I think because of the games being this year he had a lot of people on side.

 

Most people didn't think Denise should have been on the show, People wouldn't know who Danni was unless you had kids that watch Tracey Beaker and the same goes for Kimberley

 

Well, I don't think there would be a recount, but I said it ironically really.

 

You see, I don't know anyone who wanted him to win. He did not show a great deal of personality or the best dancing through out in my opinion. I had no clue who he was until I Googled him! The games should not have been a factor in the sense that it's a dance competition (yes, I know people choose who they want to win partly on who they like and dislike). 

 

I did not get into the Denise debate (do we know for certain that Denise is a fully trained professional dancer?). I would say that Kimberly has had her fair share of time on the dance floor in her band, so movement and routines would be known to her.

 

I don't necessarily think that if you are judging just the dancing, then how well known a contestant is should not have a bearing. I don't think Kimberly is unknown to most people.

 

For me I wanted one of either Dani, Kimberly or Denise to win. Louis for me was a bit passionless and taking out any gymnastic elements seemed slightly above average at best and not a patch on the girls.

I agree with all of that EC.    I think he won because of a combination of the 'phwoar' factor (not that I got that) and hangover of the feelgood factor of the olympics.    Victoria got further than she should have for the second reason too.   Mind you, they'd not even have been on the show if not for the Olympics.    I think on dancing alone Kimberley deserved to win.  (Oh for FTR - Denise only had the compulsory stage school dance training at the age of 13, no more than any other stage school celeb has had and less than some past winners did) 

I know loads of people who voted for him! I have to say I was surprised too, but he danced very well on the night. I wanted dani to win but after her wobbles & exit I was rooting for Kimberley, she's done a great job all series. I'm just happy and that Denise didn't win, and Flavia is a very deserving pro

I agree with EC and Kaffy ( except about DVO ) . For most of the series Louis's dancing was no more than adequate IMO . I think he won partly as a backlash against DVO , but IMO Kimberly and even Danni were much better dancers than he was ! Oh , and I didn't understand the phwoarrrr factor either , and that silly haircut was

The showdance won it for  Louis.

I thought he was wooden in parts too 

I wasn't a fan of his but he was the better dancer on the night  .

 

I'm still not happy he's won.

 

I'm going to write an official complaint to the BBC.

 not my ideal winner either - I really wanted Kimberley to win 

 

Louis had done a massive 2 day promo before Sat - being a local lad he was on every news local news and radio show I turned on 

 

dont know if the others had equal press coverage in their local areas before Sat 

Kimberley and Danni were on Chris Evans show but Louis and Denise wasn't invited so I can see why they were also going on other shows to promote themselves
