Nothing scares me.
Well, apart from the phone ringing, sometimes.
I refuse to use peg bags. I leave them on the line. Pointless, putting them away.

Daddy long legs scare me the most. I actually had a massive shudder just typing that down!

I keep my pegbag indoors..ooer.I'm not scared of garden beasties,or spiders etc.I do gardening so find them all quite interesting, especially those huge rove beetles(Devil's coach horse) they are like little tigers of the beetle world.
Totally harmless to us,but a little carnivore to other insects. They are about an inch and half long.Sometimes they come indoors.
I love the mini-beasts too
I'm fascinated by these beauties..

enough with the photos...I nearly "pegged" it earlier.
Is that those little bugs that "ping" themselves away if you go near them?

No, it's a shield bug. They can fly but not hop. The little pingers are these (leaf hoppers)
Saying that rove beetles are harmless,I still capture in a jar to release outside, those jaws are big, lol.
Like most beetles, they can give you a nip if they feel like it.
Spiders can, too. And some species will. I wouldn't pick one of these buggers up, if you paid me:
Woodlouse spider

That's not the bit you have to worry about - check out the fangs at the other end..
I think it is probably my imagination which scares me most.
Rather like Alfred Hitchcock would scare his audiences by ideas and anticipation rather than what he actually showed them.
Actually things which scuttle and scamper and dart and weave and move quickly give me the shudders and ab-dabs.
But I think mostly it is my own imagination which triggers fears.

Woodlice & earwigs
The Daily mail ran an article today on extinct flora & fauna in the UK. When I saw the Tawny Earwig was extinct I thought "Good!!!!" (Does this make me evil??)

Me too Aimee, bloody "slaters" in the bath of an evening. We are about to get totally refurbished etc ,foundations and damp proofing done,,that'll sort the feckers out!
Ahem!...woodlice are actually crustaceans not insects, they are related to crabs/lobsters etc.

Deman.pirsh off with your earwigs etc..goes to rummage...
im terrified of snakes i get freaked out by even fake snakes , like the soft toy ones etc
We have woodlice that live down the side of our window in the bathroom - during the night they come out for a look around and i sometimes leave out a leaf or two.
Occasionally they get trapped by the curtain which has flopped over their getaway - so i help them back down their hole for another night.
I loves these lil guys

If your window is made from wood Renton and the room is damp, then the woodlice are eating the wood etc.they are harmless but I just don't like them in the bath, and usually a few fall in during the night when they are out foraging.
We got new UPC double glazing so theyare just on the floor now.

I don't mind woodlice in the garden they do a useful job of breaking down leaf litter and dead vegetation etc.I lifted up a large side brick edging on my path last year to straighten it out, when I turned it over there was hundreds of slaters under it.I disturbed their "town".
