I have pickled some onions

And I've got two presents and four family cards in. And I've told everyone I want no faffing about/last minute this year, otherwise they get nowt!

I have also got loads of cards from last year as well.So that is all good.

 reminds me of posh old dears, who pretend they dont like the drink

I dont give my family cards, i see them every day, why give a card wishing them Merry Christmas when they are in my house on THE DAY anyway having a great time, when I have done all the work

I've got some somewhere too. I'm in two minds whether to give them again. I can't remember who I gave them to  I normally just buy a few packs of the same card that says it all and add my name to it.  I could never get writers cramp writing my cards out

You've got a good point Skylark. Mam was a bit the same with birthday cards. She'd rather give you the money for a drink than buy a card

Cards are such a waste of money, some are a fiver!

In the past I have made a cake, puddings.mincemeat, the lot.
This year ,well OH doesn't like any of that stuff and I am not expecting a houseful so I am just going to stick with the pickled onions for cold cuts and I have done some for friends.

Having said that, a certain person has asked me several times when they will be ready...

My daughter has her own home now, and wants Christmas day there, she says i have just have to sit down and be waited on. Bless her, but she cant cook, and not wanting to die in her new house, i think i may have to watch the turkey .........
