I went shopping this evening, Asda Superstore, and to my bloody amazement they have a Santas Grotta already set up in the store
Santas grotto in August ... what the hell are people thinking?

Complain to your MP. Seriously, it's crazy that they are dragging up bleeding Xmas already. The store manager should be dragged out by his hair or her hair and publicly flogged. Harsh, maybe, OK, then maybe they should be made to eat Xmas pudding until they burst.
Make that Late November at the earliest.

Mental, the schools haven't even gone back yet!
I got my mam wellie socks last year (or maybe the year before) cos her feet are always cold when she wears her wellies
Ok, I'll bite.....what the heck are wellie socks, and how do they differ from normal socks?
ANGEL we challenge to complain
Go on - get in there and tell them its waaaaay too early and to take it down!!

Glad someone asked
all this banging on about Christmas in the middle of what's supposed to be summer drives me mad, I really hate Christmas now, I want to hibernate until its over
Essentially yes, bigger too The ones I got were fleecy, and you line your wellies with them, then you can wear your wellies with your normal socks etc for extra toe-toastage
Welly socks:
I think it should be after Remembrance Day, I find it disrespectful that it gets overshadowed by xmas lights and songs in the shops
I saw last Saturday that The Card Factory has all their shelves already filled with Christmas cards. Way too early to even start thinking about Christmas
i once went to asda and the new line up of the drifters were on the staff balcony overlooking the store and singing saturday night at the movies etc..
i found it strange
and couldnt stop laughing
dont think there were xmas cards out though

The store manager does what he/she's told. Drag the CEO's by their hair. I bet they never worked a day in their life on the shop floor.
That's bloody pathetic,I refuse to have anything to do with christmas until December.

It's unlikely you will get anywhere near the CEO, so the manager is the next best thing. Make an example of one, the rest will fall. Power to the "Anti-Christmas before a sensible time of the year" brigade.

I quite agree ..... it's just plain silly
I forgot to come back to see what wellie socks were! And after all that.... they were talking about them on BBC Breakfast this morning. Wellies and wellie socks are big news!
Oh...and is this the right place to complain about supermarkets having "back to school" displays up on the first day of the summer hols?
Ooo, I want some welly socks
