If I'm not mistaken, here in the UK no one has actually got their hands on one. Although that does not stop imports.
This is really a massive blow for Samsung and playing into Apples hands as well as the other players in the market for phablets.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and love it. Thank goodness there have been no issues with that model. I love it, especially that I can get as much as 5 days on one charge!
I still have my old Samsung S4. More than two years old now. Just as good a when I purchased it, bar one thing, the battery. A charge will only last about a day and a half. I am on my second new battery both purchased from Samsung.
If I could get that sorted I would be a happy bunny

There have been pre-sales, but I was not aware of any in the wild so to speak. I thought the issues with the phone arose before shipments had started in the UK.
The reason i was of that opinion is that the Guardian posted an article (2nd Sept) - extract below.
"Stock of the phablets has been quarantined in shops and mobile phone networks around the world pending the launch in the UK and other territories which was due to take place today."

Moonie, up until recently I had a Samsung Galaxy S3. When the battery went I replaced it with a genuine Samsung battery from Amazon. The battery was great after a few charges.
One.thing to avoid is continual short charges. I let me battery discharge to around 20%-30% then charge to 100%. Having done a fair bit of reading, this seems to be the perceived wisdom when it comes to getting max use out of a battery.

According to pcadvisor, the Galaxy Note 7 was due to go on sale on 2 September but pre-orders could be made from 16 August. Those who pre-ordered would get it 3 days earlier.

There was someone on the BBC news at lunchtime with one of them. He said that he had been able to replace it and wasn't happy that the replacement was risky. Presumably he was one of those who pre-ordered and so got it in the 3 days before 2 September.
