Rylan Clark is reportedly looking ahead to a civil partnership with Big Brother boyfriend Dan Neal after the pair ‘got engaged’ during a romantic trip to Paris over the weekend.
The affable TV personality is believed to have said yes when former police officer Dan proposed while sightseeing in the picturesque French capital, aptly dubbed ‘the city of love’ – and sources claim he is thrilled.
‘Rylan and Dan have always known marriage was on the cards,’ a friend told the Daily Star. ‘So being in the French capital, you might think Rylan saw it coming.

‘However it still took him completely by surprise. And there was never any question about what his answer might be.
‘Rylan can’t wait to marry Dan. They’re just thrilled it’s official and they can get started with the best part – planning!’
The pair met in 2013 following Dan’s appearance on Channel 5 spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit On The Side – co-hosted by Rylan – after his eviction during the fourteenth series of Big Brother.

But their romance, kept under wraps until last November, was dogged by criticism from Dan’s ex, Matt Parker, who posted a string of bitter tweets after news of their relationship broke.
‘I just want people to know Dan has p*ssed off to become a Z list celeb! After all I done supporting him!' He wrote at the time.
Dan was originally a member of the Operation Yewtree squad formed by Scotland Yard to investigate allegations of sexual abuse aimed at celebrities following the high profile Jimmy Savile scandal.
Referring to the likelihood of wedding bells, Rylan once said: ‘The wedding would be three days in the middle of nowhere, in a beautiful manor house.’
He also admitted her would be open to the possibility of raising children, adding: ‘Just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I can’t settle down and have kids.’
