I'm sure Kate would love Placebo's interpretation. She's great, and they are great.

Brian is a bit gorgeous. He doesn't look like a Brian though.
Mmm someone that bonny doesn't need to sing.
I like his Adam`s apple
Ohh, Placebo
Gypsie why are you now called Gypsue. Sorry if I missed an earlier explanation.
By the way I'm telling Jason O that you're going behind his back. Then he'll be mine, I tell ya..... all mine....

Kate's version will always be the best for me, fantastic arrangement.
Coldplay nicked that drum beat for one of thier singles ... but I just can't think which on atm *scratches head*
Oh & definitely Kate Bush

I like Kate Bush, nice to find I'm not my own
I LOVE Kate Bush, I've got all of her albums. She's completely unique and fantastically talented. She's mad as a box of frogs like, but just such an amazing artist.
It's such a shame when those like Kate pull back from public view and recording, I liked her individuality and performances. I feel the same about Sade, loved her smokey voice and often play her cd of greatest hits while on the pc.
I've just been looking at Kate's website, and she loves the Placebo version.
Sade has a new album due out in Feb. It's called Soldier of Love or something like that.

Oh thanks Queenie I'll be interested in getting that

I love Kate too..I have all of her stuff. I don`t agree that she`s as mad as a box of frogs though Queenie..Yes she`s eccentric, unique, different but certainly not mad.I have a video of her in her home life..she`s a normal Mum doing normal things...like us. I would love to have her as a friend.

I only mean mad in an affectionate way Scotty. I agree she's just eccentric and very 'arty'. She's actually got a brilliant sense of humour and I really admire her for the way she's just about the music not the fame. She's one of my favourite artists of all time.
I love Kate Bush and I had forgotten about Sade. Thanks for the reminder Queenie.
Makes you wonder what Len. Bruno and CRH would make of that dance. She'd be a good contender for next years SCD>!
Love the original by Kate Bush... love the Placebo cover... same with Hounds of Love... The Futureheads did an excellent cover of that.
For me thats what makes a good cover version... when they take it and do something slightly different with it!
Oh and Bambooshka.... I used to leap around the house in my nightie when I was a kid to that! It must have left a deep impression cos I still get the urge to do it now!

Lol! I used to do the same to Wuthering Heights. Might have been somehing to do with the hair.
To make a fair comparison you need to listen to both live versions.
I must say Placebo's live version is far better.

lololol!Now.. to Wuthering Heights I had to do the whooshing head round and round, bending from the waist, with the intention of gracefully leaping off to side at the end... though I used to end up so dizzy I would stagger around and then crash into stuff.... like my mum's expensive but pointless figurines (can'[t remember the name of them... were of stuff like a little boy.. all pale in whites, greys & blues... with a glossy finish!)
