What amazes me about this whole bullshit is how the media says asinine comments like "It will lift the whole country", as if the whole country has such utterly empty lives they have to live it vicariously through the glorified celebrity culture that is the royal family.
So pregnant women, engaged couples, soon to be grand parents, newly weds, parents about to send their children to primary school, secondary school, college, university. Planning for holidays, adult children leaving the family nest, first time buyers. People concerned about their loved ones health. People waiting on exam results, job interviews, promotion decisions won't give a shit about any of these things, because they're all brain dead royalist morons whose lives revolve around the birth of someone to someone they'll never ever meet!

Royal fans have also gathered around the hospital, where there is a strong police presence.
