Judge: You will serve half that sentence when you will be released on licence for remainder.
should have given him the full 10 and then some - so what if the dirty git dies in prison - it's no more than he deserves

I agree ,he can rot with Stuart Hall.
The sentence handed to Rolf Harris has been referred to the Attorney General's office under the 'unduly lenient sentence scheme', ITV News has learned.
The auction houses have a dimela.
Under the counter now.
They certainly do have a dilemma.
Back in 2011 a woman brought one of his paintings to the Antiques Roadshow and was told it could be worth up to ÂĢ50,000. She did try to sell it at auction a couple of times but it failed to get the reserve price so she's still got it. She's now reportedly considering burning it.

I spoke to my friend today who confirmed that Bindi's friend who Harris abused from 13 years was the one he told me about years ago and I told you about on here when the story first broke, (my friend was a friend of her brother,) Justice for her at last
Ironic that he did a childrens education film 'Say No.
Harris warns the children not to go off with strangers, but also explains that people who they know can also pose a threat.
That resource was v widely used in the late 80s/90s to work with primary age children in schools. I've used it more times than I can count for whole school days, ending in an assembly where all of the children would present their themed art work, music, poems etc. and all sing the "My body's nobodies body but mine" song together.
Don't know about ironic: Bloody warped bastard
Thanks for the link, Supes.
found old TV footage of the interview, which the prosecution said showed the moment she was groped.
Right, so they've pinpointed the incident and presumably that would be enough to proceed with a closer look at the evidence.
However the defence argued, in the absence of the jury, that it would be unfair to Harris to allow her evidence to be heard, because they had not had enough time to investigate her claims
Unfair? How much time does it need to watch the tape and interview someone? The last person this is unfair to is Harris.
Beggars belief

I've been wondering what he's been doing on his first day in prison.
Did he watch Wimbledon?

I was too old to be traumatised but the mixture of humiliation and outrage stays with me to this day.
I really like the above comment. Puts the point that you don't have to be reduced to a wreck after a sexual assault - it doesn't have to be a requirement before it's taken seriously.......it's STILL a sexual assault.
Leon Britton appears to be questioned about some historical 0ccurences.
We saw that too. Don't believe that one!
Nightmare at Elm Guest House
Leon Britton appears to be questioned about some historical 0ccurences.
Seems it was last month over a historical allegation of rape, against a woman over the age of 18 in 1967, rather than re the Elm Guest House and the mysteriously missing files: The Metropolitan police said: "A man aged in his seventies was interviewed under caution by appointment at a central London location in connection with the allegation. He was not arrested."
