Why is that boys can never play games without a fight breaking out? OK, so we're not in the playground now, but you'd think Halfwit had had his dinner money stolen, the face he was pulling while playing a game with Rodrigo.

What started as an innocent game of rolling a ball up the carpet, Siavash refereeing, ended in something much more viscious. But was it all in Halfwit's head? Quite possibly.

Rodrigo was beating Halfwit at the game, and started teasing him about it. But Halfwit wasn't finding it very funny. Not at all. In fact, he stopped playing for a moment to tell Rodrigo what he thought of his wind-up.

"I'm not picking up the friendliness in the jokes," he said, suddenly.

"But we're joking, Freddie," giggled Rodrigo, who'd been harmlessly ribbing him, along with Charlie and Noirin, who'd been watching the game.

"If I'm reacting weirdly, it's because I'm not finding the jokes funny," replied Halfwit, deadly serious.

Rodrigo looked confused. "But I joke with everyone," he said.

"But your jokes aren't always in the same way," replied Halfwit, awkwardly. The pair resumed the game, and Rodrigo eventually won. As Halfwit disappeared to the loo, Rodrigo, still smiling, turned to Charlie.

"He was getting realy angry with me. Did you see?" Rodrigo looked quite hurt at this. "I'll never joke with Freddie again."

"He wasn't happy because he wanted to win," said Charlie.

A few minutes later Halfwit rejoined the group and continued to talk about the incident.

"Rodrigo, I know when you joke and what I was detecting in it was almost nastiness. Like you were testing me with your joke."

"It's a game. I think you're taking it too seriously," said Rodrigo in disbelief.

"I'm not taking it too seriously. I'm not reading too much into it," replied Halfwit.

"I'm telling you Freddie. I like you. I was joking. I really didn't mean to upset you. I'm really sorry."

You'd think it would all end there, but it was as if Halfwit hadn't even heard Rodrigo.

"Yeah. OK. It's like you wanted me to take it seriously," he began, before reiterating his point again. And again.

Eeker, but what is Rodrigo on about he takes it too seriously he didn't take kindly to Kris and Charlies jokes before.

Rodrigo, let's face it, has a very poor sense of humour. His self-righteous indignation is evident in all his actions. He never seems to understand when a joke is a joke, and when it isn't. He always seems to go too far or not far enough. I would say that Freddie and Rodrigo do not share the same sense of humour, and this argument is the result.

Makes me laugh when people go on about Freddy is this and Freddy is that. The poor bloke can't seem to do anything right in the eyes of some folk. He is human and is allowed to get upset, angry, be in a bad mood/good mood etc. At least he doesn't rant and eff and blind all over the place. After all he has been through in the house, I am surprised he is as calm and rational that he is.

On last nights HL didn't Siavash say something about Rodrigo cheating throughout the game and then getting upset when Freddie did the same ????
