Rodrigo found out that he didn't meet the real queen in the DR, he laughed and said he felt stupid. He got a real letter from the Queen in there though 
. At the end when he comes out he lets out a massive laugh to the others amusement.

He was probably never 100% convinced. And at least one remark from Sophie about whether he had seen a picture of the Queen or not must have aroused his suspicions beforehand.

Its not hard, i wrote a letter on behalf of my pre-schoolers once and got a reply back. Anybody that writes to buckingham palace always gets a reply, not from the queen of course but it is always on buckingham palace headed paper.

He is not English. He would obviously say it with his own Brazilian accent.
The Queen would know that (real or look-alike.)
