He payed at Blenheim Palace a few years ago ... my friend paid £80 for a seat in the courtyard to watch him ... I paid nothing and stood just the other side of the gate and had a much better view than her

I remember the last time I saw him, t'was at Wembley arena in the 80s. I was quite friendly with Adrian Hopkins, who promoted that tour. He gave me four free tickets, which we had to pick up from his house in Oxford. It took us over an hour to find the house.

We tanked it up the M40 - as fast as you can in a Truimph Herald.

We parked  at Hillingdon tube car park and got the tube across London. Then realised that we'd left the tickets on the dashboard. 

Long story cut short, we made it with minutes to spare ... great concert
