I never thought that Rod was ever a good looking chap so I was most insulted

I was also once followed round our local spar by some bloke literally dragging his wife/gf by the elbow, when we got to the check-out he asked me for my autograph....he thought I was Tony Hadley

It was more the fact that he moved towards my Mum's preferences! We defined him as "selling out!" Other more practical punters would define it as huge success. Whether he wanted to take his place in the gramophone record shelf alongside shieght like Elvis, Englebert, and val Doonican is a moot point. (even if the first LP I have contains a coupla Presley covers)

Awww GJ, my mum loved him, she said, when she died, that we should all stand around her coffin and sing and raise a glass...which is exactly what we did, 11 years ago yesterday....Even the 'naffest' 'Have I told you lately that I loved you" 'cos that's what she used to sing to us......sometimes it's just about memories rather than anything else

I really and vtruly can't listen to 'I Left My Heart in San Fransisco' without filling up. My Dad worked really hard all week - Sunday mornings - he'd get up and the 'record player' was on belting out Tony Bennet (and Perry Como) we never got a lay in!

Now - to be serious here. I have lost the sound on my lap top. It's nothing to laugh at as I'm in th mood to listen to some tunes . It was in my hidden icons bit (down below) and I could turn the sound on/off - high/low - to my hearts content! The sound thingymebob has disappeared from my hidden icons OMG

What shall I do? My three year old grandson will be here tomorrow - I guess he'll sort it! (I kid you not).
