Hi EC, sorry I couldn't join you live, was delayed and was watching 20 minutes behind on the iPlayer, but that was a great first show. Bodes well for the rest of the series.

Yes, I enjoyed it, especially getting more stats. Dara is a good host and as one of the judges is from Sheffield I may track him down for a selfie.

But seriously, a great comeback from Carbide and that blade when at full tilt is awesome weapon.

I was also unable to watch "live", but caught up on iPlayer.

It was good to see it back, but I was wondering: what does everyone think about the new "mini-league" system? I'm a little concerned that as the series progresses, teams will get more tactical, and as a result might reign back on the "destruction" aspect of the show. We saw the potential problem of this with Carbide destroying Nuts: there was a concern that Nuts was so badly damaged that their next opponent would have an easy ride. Now as it turned out that wasn't the case, but my concern would be that if Carbide had thought about it, they'd have gone easier on Nuts: i,e, just doing enough to win without wrecking their opponent...

I'm quite happy to see how it goes. I genuinely thought Behemoth was a standout robot and would progress, especially after Carbides slow start, but personally I like to see them take each other apart. If it does get tactical and less destructive I would hope the producers clock on to it and make changes.

Looking forward to the remainder of the series.
