The film director John Hughes, director of films like "The Breakfast Club", "St Elmos Fire" and "Pretty in Pink" has died of a heart attack at the age of 59.

Just say this on the BBC Entertainment website, not techy so can't post a link.

I loved his films when young and they still make me laugh now.

RIP and thanks John.

'The Breakfast Club' is one of my all time fave films...have all those films on dvd...may stick Brekkie Club on later and enjoy it all over again.

I love John Hughes films, I was a teenager in the 80's so I kind of grew up with them. RIP John.
