For those of you that haven't seen me wailing & moping about on FB, witnessed me getting maudlin & drunk this evening over a chicken...
I found Buttercup dead this morning 
He was in his man cave ... just slumped. No evidence of any injury or illness.
Just dead!
Tomorrow we are giving him a viking funeral pyre type send off... (I have stashed his little fluffy body somewhere safe away from anything that might want to eat him)...
I am sooo gutted.. I know, he's just a chicken.. but I loved him - the fluffy little rapey pitbull of the bantam chicken world 
Its like Turner & Hooch.....,.
in a couple of months there are going to be lots of mini Buttercups running around attacking me.. and that is supposed to make it all ok Well it might have been ok for Tom Hanks.. but it ain't ok with me!!!!
anyways... the only upside is all 11 of his babies are thriving and doing well.. even Runty Poo Bottom (the only named chick)...

Anyway.. that's it now.. they say it comes in 3's.. and its been worrying me... wondering if there would be a third.. and now this is it.
AJ, my Mum & Buttercup.. lost them all in the last 6 months, and all on the last wednesday of the month...
(disclaimer - obviously I have different levels of grief for these 3... but right now.. in a haze of red wine.. its an accumulative thing).
Buttercup Jnr or Ms is also clearly a chip off the old cock. 
yeah... even I can see how ridiculous it is!
