Fancy that! I was reading his obit from yesterday's paper and it mentioned that Terry Thomas was his cousin.

Just catching up with the papers....... I notice that Elspet Gray died on Monday. Probably better known as Mrs Brian Rix but a cracking actress in her own right. Both of them took time from acting to work with the disabled. My younger readers may remember her in Four Weddings, Black Adder, Tenko, and her final appearance in Dinnerladies.

I also remember her as Felicity Kendal's mother in Solo, and as "Philippa's (Celia Imrie) mum in Dinnerladies. She was Scottish, too.

She always played a very 'classy' jolly hockey sticks type - a good actress and she wore well for her age.
