awwww bless. . good ol actor he was
Just read it, hope it was a 'Good Life' for him.
I was watching a retrospective of The Good Life recently. One of those sitcoms I enjoyed. Was thinking about getting the complete series box set on DVD.
I suspect he had an enjoyable life.
Bye RB.
Noooooooooooo - how sad. When you watch re runs on TV Gold you forget that people are getting older. He was a great comedy actor - l loved him in The Good Life and especially loved him in Ever Decreasing Circles.
RIP - Richard (Tom/Martin)
such a shame but death comes to us all
Aww, sad news. I've just been watching him in Ever Decreasing Circles.
Loved him as Tom Good and as Martin Bryce.
RIP Richard.
I always wanted him to be my Dad.
He seemed to be a kind, warm fellow from a more gentile time.
Truly gonna miss him.
Aww RIP Richard.
I was very moved by Paul Eddington's last interview.
Asked how he'd like to be remembered he said,
"As someone who did very little harm"
Which i thought was quite an odd reply - but a wonderful man none the less

Richard Briers - Brain Cant - Jonny Ball
All heroes of mine
I recently read this interview with him and Prunella Scales - I found it quite touching somehow. You can 'hear' his voice in it I think, and I can imagine Prunella wandering around a bit lost. Seems there was never the same friendship between him and Felicity Kendall which surprised me a bit.

Putney and Chiswick are very close (next door as I remember).
