Didnât listen to daughter â that was wrong
She fell over on Friday night, quite bad
Grazed her foot, it made her sad
She couldnât go to school yesterday
Couldnât put weight on it â no way
Today itâs swollen and bright red

The doctor took one look at it

and I used to watch her from my corner

the air as thick as could be with tar
The men would throw big notes at her
as she danced the pole, the tune of Cher
"If I could turn back time" was repeated
as she made her audience hot and heated
A cab would pick her up at end of her night
sometimes the sky awakening to the light
and she always went home sober and alone
after being Queen of the Pole Dance throne
One night I decided to follow the cab
