Bagel - I heard that you were feeling blue
so popped in to do a rhyme for you
I'ts not nice when we feel real sad
And I know you get it bad
But your rhymes and posts keep us afloat on here
So we all wish you love and happiness dear.
Get better soon and I will tell
About my weekend that was so swell
I was down in your neck of the woods - well Kent
For a very happy occasion it was time well spent.
I hope that your sadness will soon pass
If it dont I'll just have to kick your @rse.

Hug Hug Hug Hug Hug

Take time out - don't be too hard on yourself - and come back happy Hug

ooh what part of kent were you in
did the refuse men empty my bin?
I only use the place odd weekend
coz its sending me round the bend
pay council tax for whole year
and am hardly there my dear!! Frowner Valentine

I was in Higham at The Knowle
For my sisters wedding we had a ball
A lovely sunny day - and all the family together
Good food, good wine and beautiful weather
We stayed in Maidstone where my sister resides
But I digress - she was a beautiful bride
She has lived through some awful years
But to see her so happy reduced me to tears
I was the matron of honour as well
I have so very much to tell
It's not easy to tell all in rhyme
Maybe I'll pop back another time.

On a different note I'm glad you're in good form again
I hate to see folks down - especially forum friends.

I was at the Knowle not long ago Eeker
I popped infor a few hours or so
I know the owner quite well you see
what a small world for you and me Big Grin

The Knowle always reminds me of old
with the steps to the entrance so bold
and the big rooms inside so beautiful
The staff there are always so dutiful

but my favourite place is the big garden
reminds me of rustling skirts a pardon
and Victorian lady waving her pretty fan
demure eyes looking coyly at a man

yes the knowle is a good place to go
quite expensive but worth a good throw Big Grin

To The Families of the 8 Soldiers and more

8 Soldiers are coming home today
but there will be no cheering hooray
through Wootten Basset their hearses will
drive through the now familiar sad drill

I cried oh I cried for these lads I did
War is so cruel and we should get rid
I cried for their parents and the kin
and the hell and pain they are living in

I cried for folk of Wootton Bassett as well
who line the streets to respect where they dwell
I believe in God but sometimes I despair
does he give a damm or does he really care?

To see the Union Jack on display
should be such a joyus happy day,
not draped over these fine Young Men
never has such grief flowed from my pen

when they left for war they stood all proud
and there parents wanted to say out loud
"I dont want you to worry my dear son
but please please dont be an unlucky one"

so the next time Families will see our Army Sons
will be in Wotton Bassett with there loved ones
arriving back to England in a black hearse
my god I cannot think of anything worse

please accept my heartfelt condolences to all
and for past and present boys who got the call Frowner

Rexi did you enjoy your night
and did you get quite tight?
I been busy doing housework
where dust and germs did lurk Frowner

I happened by a flukey chance
to look through window at a glance
and the dust on my white windowsill
shone in the fading light at will Eeker

so I got out my cleaning stuff
and set to work..ooh it was tough
and now my lounge is a gleaming
and thames can be seen through screening! Big Grin

Good morning to all you lovely rhymers Hug
I'm up early with the alarm timer
Lots or things to get on with today
I hope it all goes to the planned way

Rexi Hug what a lovely evening for you
I saw you went to the brothers blue
I hope you feet aren't too achy
And your voice is not become too shaky

Bagel Hug your home now all spick and span
Cleaning it up as only women can
I hope that lovely river view
Is really uplifting to your spirit and you Big Grin

Oooooooh I do love threads on BB
All the rows and bickering you see
Some love some HM's and some another
Sometimes it's best to run for cover
Thank goodness to the ga ga team
Cos BB without a forum would be obscene

A quick hi to all the rhymers in here
I do tend to ignore you at this time of year
But I'll be back and in fine fettle
Just as long as someone puts on the kettle!
