It just felt I wasn't with it today
But everything went off in a good way
The work all got done in good stead

settle back, here's the news
At crack of dawn - 9 am
I put on my trainers then
went to call for my friend Jo
and on a power walk we did go
We walked for over an hour
chatting away (not so much power!!)
Got home, sent a message to a chum
to tell her that her Avon had come
She came round, the kettle went on
Next thing I know, the morning had gone
I did do some work this afternoon
I poked about in the daughter's bedroom
I crawled out of there, barely alive
when my friend came round, at about 5
I said 'would you like coffee or tea'
'Pfft' she said 'you know me'
'I think I can spare the time
to knock back a cheeky glass of wine'
What could I do, she is my chum?
I didn't want her to feel glum
I poured a glass, just the one
and now my lovely day is done

I'm exhausted
