Well, I'm getting to grips with this rather well

Life is going fairly well
Although there is much to dwell
The no smoking quest has taken a turn
The nicotine too much I did yearn
So plan B in now in place
Will now begin to reduce the pace
Staring with 6 ciggies a day
And each week take one away
Smoking for 33 years has taken it's toll
But am determined to reach my final goal

Mother Nature has a wicked streak
She can certainly be a real sneak
Catching us in total unaware
She has a certain unique flare
I hope you are now cosy warm
And your soaking will do you no harm
I hope work when really good

For 25yrs I also smoked
and for 3yrs now have been smoke free
I too gave up by going slow
and reducing gradually
first I stopped lighting up at work
and then just one or two at night
then when it got to once a week
it really just seemed right
to give those bad boys up completely
by then it was easier to do
and now that I am totally smoke free
I feel much healthier through and through..
As for the getting wet..
I'm now dry and sat in the warm
It can thunder and lightening for all I care
it can't do me any harm..
But! I'll bet it'll wait though
round the corner it will hide
and at precisely 8.15 tomorrow morn
the heavens will open wide...
