What food is from your area and is famous for it, or which foods do you love when you visit somewhere?

I think the North East has Stottie bread, a round flat bread you either cut in half for sandwiches or cut in straght lines for buttering and topping Smiler

I'm also in Wiltshire that my mum says is familiar for its ham. Smiler

You're supposed to let them slide down whole. I'm not keen on them myself... they are seriously high risk food! If you get a bad oyster... you're in trouble!

Yeah Ive heard of people getting quite ill off dodgy oysters. I get the idea if you swallow them whole that you won;t get much of the taste though surely? When you are young, or on "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" if you are given something you don't like but have to eat you avoid chew and swallow whole to avoid tasting it as much as possible.
