Thought of you today when I took my admin' girls out for a birthday lunch in your favourite Eton mess spot, (was supposed to be going to the place across the road that you love the prices of LOL but the queues were too long!)..... Wanted to test the dessert of which you speak so often but no-one else wanted a pud' 
..... The 'side-show' was a sight to behold 'though: a full on gypsy wedding

I've got the original book..............the pages are brown now I've made the rock buns I dunno how many times and according to peeps they are to die for. I put mixed spice and cinnamon in too

When i worked in a school canteen we used to be able to but trays of the schools puddings for about ÂĢ2 the school i worked out still used to do all the old desserts
