See that's what I love about wine, I love reading the labels and the description of the flavour then tasting it to see if I really can taste the flavours they described.

My favourite one ever was one that described having subtle hints of freshly cut grass, and you really could taste it.  It was one that we had on one of our first dinners out when dating, and we still look out for the wine now.  Even when we smell cut grass it makes us think of that night and that wine.  * reminisces*

My mum is in her early seventies and is prone to saying "red shoes, no knickers" when she sees anyone wearing red shoes.

I am rather worried as I clearly remember her being particularly partial to a pair of bright red patent shoes in the 1970's.

I once told a sommelier his red burgundy smelled of horse shit.  And it did.  It was beautiful.

Young Sancerre is a good port of call if you're after cut grass, like.

No.  Too much Sancerre - my brain's gone to mush.

Speaking of Sancerre, I've a half bottle of a '95 (I think) stashed somewhere.  It long ago passed the point of, "Oooh, let's mature this and see what happens" and is now firmly in the, "'kin hell, I dare not open this for fear of the horrors that lie within".  I'll probably end up buried with it.
