UK economy shrank by 0.5% last month

There were expectations of between .2% and .5% growth but it is far worse than that.

I can't believe no-one predicted this. Oh, Hang on a minute.....

Just seen Osbourne on Sky News, bloody hell... blame the weather

Why should anyone be surprised? This was all predicted by Labour and the Lib Dems if the Tories went down that route. Shame the Lib Dems decided to ignore their own advice.

The Tories have put the brakes on the recovery through their short sighted dogma.

Osborne hasn't got a clue.

In all honesty, I didnt actually know it was PP who made the comment... I couldn't remember who it actually was. Had I known it was PP, I wouldn't of bothered with taking a shot... and when she did point out it was her, I tried to turn it into humour... which went down like a lead balloon.

I've never had it so bad.

I don't know how things can be much worse. As far as income and my worsening credit balance goes, it's a perfect storm in virtually every way imaginable for me. Osborne has about as much idea as he gives a crap.

You meant Lord Young didn't you?

Back to the economy-down-the-drain... I read earlier (on Twitter) that in December 2009-January 2010 when there was all that snow, Labour managed to get the economy to grow. Don't know how credible that statement is but if it is then Osbourne really got this wrong.
