I kinda object to it being put out there that if you find him irritating you are infact being intolerant of a condition. I feel as though I am no longer allowed to not like the bloke, cos if I do I am discriminating against a condition.
(oh, and for the record, whilst he isn't my cup of tea, I do think he's generally a nice person, but he isn't as perfect as some make him out to be)
Well said Ditty and I think this is what Marge was saying.
I also agree with KG that it's his gentleness and innocence that is most endearing.[/QUOTE]Well Tayto, if that has been going on, it went 'whoosh' straight over my bonce and I cannot recall having seen any such thing!
My take on the 'do you or do you not like Knobber, has nothing at all to do with his severe Dyslexia. It seems to me to be more about disliking that he's rather geeky, loaded (by accident of birth) unconventional, loving, gentle and massively intelligent despite his inability to always express himself as he'd probably wish to.
Now I have NO clue as to what extent his Dyslexia impacts on his manner of expression but I tell you what? He has made more sense, to me as a viewer than the rest of those other twunters who are far too busy formulating their next strategy because they're mainly a load of self-serving bastards!
Knobber was up for eviction 5 weeks straight! And he's still lovely!
Me? Facing that kind of relentless pressure would have been spiking their drinks with Sennacot and sticking fleas in their grundies
KG... you and I did our initial posts at the same time.
The dyslexia debate was on previous pages!
I get that you lurve him, cos you lurve him!

Ive said before how i feel about freddie but i'll say it again
any person that can take the stick that he took off lisa and her gang the first few weeks has my vote.
he was abused by them it was nasty and cruel to watch,
i admire the bloke for still being there.
i couldnt have handled it.
hes done nothing wrong hes a total gentleman.
he gets my vote every time.
adding yes he has his faults who out there is perfect? but hes so real to himself, and another thing ive said before is we all need a friend like freddie in our lives.
I agree, well said.

good post and i agree with every word of it
Its human nature, babes to be 'drawn' to people that we most associate as being like us. And whereas my personal background couldn't possibly be further from Knobbers, I relate to him in an emotional mannerquote:Originally posted by langster:quote:Originally posted by *KG*:Fanks Langster - but TBH having read loads of your posties we're mainly on the same wavelength, you and Iquote:Originally posted by langster:quote:Originally posted by *KG*:
Well my two bob's worth is that I've liked Knobber from day dot! He really was totally misunderstood by the likes of Rodrigo who kept putting him up for eviction for having Political aspirations and was totally devoid of being able to recognise that he was bessie mates with a pair of bimbos who wanted nothing more than a deal or two from the wank mags
Hypocritical much?
Despite all of the wealth, that by no fault of his own he has been born into, I find him to be the person in there with the smallest ego.
He doesn't even talk about himself and his life very much - in fact rarely. Unlike Kenneth the Wanker who couldn't stop mentioning every 5 minutes how much something cost (his Daddy, who actually makes all the money)
I've had Knob in my sig since the show started and he's not going to be removed until the show is over. Yes, he's a bit of a dick but I really like the guy - far more than mostly the rest of them put together.
I find his gentleness, and attempts to try to understand everything that's going on around him, really endearing.
I just love the bloke, and I'd stroke his head and cuddle up to him every day of the week and twice on Sundays < ----- for my Knobber!
Brilliant!
And might I say, you have such an amazing way with words
I see a lot of myself in Knobber, in being misunderstood - I really do
I can be inconsistent and difficult to fathom. I am also reasonably articulate yet very potty-gobbed also. I think its almost impossible to remain totally the same all of the time because we're all governed by our surroundings, emotions, circumstances, relationships and many other things also.
So, yes - I can totally relate to Knob although I don't suffer from Dyxlexia, probably the exact opposite in that I can find a million words and expressions when 2 would definitely do the job better!
Awwww fanks LOL! I agree entirely You think your posts can be verbose? something I often think about myself and some of my posts at times. And yeah, I am articulate when I need to be, and can be eloquent and polite when required as well, but also have a tendency to be potty mouthed and immature and crude as well, or can be mistaken or taken to literally or seriously at times. But that can't always be helped and I've given up worrying about it LOL!. I do enjoy your posts though so thanks for that
Ah well, variety is the spice of life and all that
I liked him almost immediately despite the fact that I'm (in my bonce ) kinda cool, and he really isn't - or at least not in any conventional sense
But, like him I did and if he doesn't win the show then I'll be really gutted
I wanted either Siavash or Marcus to win too, for being great HMs but their stupidity over ANNOIRING has made me change my mind
Has she got gold bullion in her knickers or what?
I used to like him now I don't. He bugs the bejeezes outta me.

I just can't find too many faults with the bloke, and can find many with the rest of the Muppeteers
I dunno about the gold bullion in her knickers, I prefer the conspiracy theory that she has a twig and giggleberries in there instead
And yeah, again (this is getting spooky now lol) I liked Freddie immediately as well, even though he is so not what I would associate "cool" with. But ironically he is, but only because he isn't

I do feel a bit of a fraud though, because I wasn't sure that Rachael deserved to win last year I waxed and waned and tried to get clear in my mind that either 'entertainment' should win over 'decency' or vice-versa and I'm not entirely sure that I ever reached a conclusion
But this year, the 'entertainment' has been lacking and its been too centred around these stupid assed 'Bromances' which I've always completely LOATHED!
I can watch porn if I want to see folks 'get it on' FFS - totally NOT the reason why us lot like to tune into BB!

Ahem, speak for yourself
Nah, I find it boring and contrived and uncomfortable viewing to be honest. I would much rather watch idiots having fun like Brian and Bubble in series 2. That was quality entertainment. They had me in stitches for days with their juvenile pranks and petty arguments.
The rebellion and protesting last week was amusing and far better than watching another snoozefest faux love affair.

I did'nt want Racheal to win because she was to 'self centered and self satisfied' in her niceness...I think Freddie is totally different....
I agree about hating the 'Lurve Interest' HMs that BB and the press seem to think we love to watch.
I like to see the HMs interact and get on or fall out with each other not form fake romances.

Thanks for posting that darlo. Freddy is lucky to have such a good friend as Ravi and it sounds like he has a lovely family too.
