We don't have a lot of choice this year tbh, he's the best of a bad bunch
I still like Freddy, his disability doesn't come into it. I loathed Mikey last year..as a person.

If we all logged off everytime we were challenged the forum would be dead. I wasn`t alone in thinking her comment was unlike her.
Marge is an old friend of mine, we understand each other. There is NO fall out..ok?
Now lets drop it Baz. I`m really not in the mood for this unneeded escalation.

Well my two bob's worth is that I've liked Knobber from day dot! He really was totally misunderstood by the likes of Rodrigo who kept putting him up for eviction for having Political aspirations and was totally devoid of being able to recognise that he was bessie mates with a pair of bimbos who wanted nothing more than a deal or two from the wank mags
Hypocritical much?
Despite all of the wealth, that by no fault of his own he has been born into, I find him to be the person in there with the smallest ego.
He doesn't even talk about himself and his life very much - in fact rarely. Unlike Kenneth the Wanker who couldn't stop mentioning every 5 minutes how much something cost (his Daddy, who actually makes all the money)
I've had Knob in my sig since the show started and he's not going to be removed until the show is over. Yes, he's a bit of a dick but I really like the guy - far more than mostly the rest of them put together.
I find his gentleness, and attempts to try to understand everything that's going on around him, really endearing.
I just love the bloke, and I'd stroke his head and cuddle up to him every day of the week and twice on Sundays < ----- for my Knobber!

I absolutely promise that when Freddie irritates me, it is not as a result of his dyslexia. I, like others on here, have a relative with severe dyslexia (my brother).... he too processes things differently, in his case he could hardly read a book when 18, yet put him in front of computer programming code and he is like Neo from Matrix (very cool.... a huge relief for us all when he found his place in the world!). His perception on the world, and the way he processes it can also sometimes 'raise eyebrows'.
Having seen how others have tried and failed to convey this... I suspect I will get forum pistol whipped for it... but I am gonna try...
It is personality traits that irritate me about Freddie, they are not dyslexia related, cos Bea shares alot of them.
I kinda object to it being put out there that if you find him irritating you are infact being intolerant of a condition. I feel as though I am no longer allowed to not like the bloke, cos if I do I am discriminating against a condition.
(oh, and for the record, whilst he isn't my cup of tea, I do think he's generally a nice person, but he isn't as perfect as some make him out to be)

Thats how I feel about him too really.Tho I do like Bea...probably because of her forthrightness.
Mind you,I do take others point about him being more appealing than some of the other characters in there!!

I also agree with KG that it's his gentleness and innocence that is most endearing.

I see a lot of myself in Knobber, in being misunderstood - I really do
I can be inconsistent and difficult to fathom. I am also reasonably articulate yet very potty-gobbed also. I think its almost impossible to remain totally the same all of the time because we're all governed by our surroundings, emotions, circumstances, relationships and many other things also.
So, yes - I can totally relate to Knob although I don't suffer from Dyxlexia, probably the exact opposite in that I can find a million words and expressions when 2 would definitely do the job better!

My god Brisket... that actually made me blush (that hasn't happened in years!! )
I tend to stay away from these kind of sensitive threads, I find I stumble over my words and fear I may be misconstrued as unjust or discriminative.
But I just KNOW that I would find it quite hard to live in a house with Freddie, and that it has nothing to do with his dyslexia.
BTW... I think you're a lovely poster too... I was watching you trying to make forum peace last night.

I agree...his mate doesn't seem to have much clue as to what dyslexia was....just waffled a lot of meaningless nonsense IMO.
He seems to be making out that Freddy's eccentricities are part of the dyslexic condition, which sounds a load of old tosh
...although i can imagine he has evolved an eccentric personality as a coping mechanism to deal with the teasing etc he must have suffered because of the dyslexia....turning a possible "stupid" label into an "exotic/unusual" one....Good for him
....his desperation to come across as intelligent and unusual seems to suggest this might be the case.

Awwww fanks LOL! I agree entirely You think your posts can be verbose? something I often think about myself and some of my posts at times. And yeah, I am articulate when I need to be, and can be eloquent and polite when required as well, but also have a tendency to be potty mouthed and immature and crude as well, or can be mistaken or taken to literally or seriously at times. But that can't always be helped and I've given up worrying about it LOL!. I do enjoy your posts though so thanks for that
Ah well, variety is the spice of life and all that

great post K.G.
Ive said before how i feel about freddie but i'll say it again
any person that can take the stick that he took off lisa and her gang the first few weeks has my vote.
he was abused by them it was nasty and cruel to watch,
i admire the bloke for still being there.
i couldnt have handled it.
hes done nothing wrong hes a total gentleman.
he gets my vote every time.
adding yes he has his faults who out there is perfect? but hes so real to himself, and another thing ive said before is we all need a friend like freddie in our lives.
