A few of my pals play yoville Lee... but I only ever played FV but don't now.  It was too addictive.  i actually work about 32 hours a week now and don't have as much time as when I worked only 16 hours...   so I don't play anything now really.  If you are more or less housebound though, then these games can provide a lot of fun and entertainment.

I joined that when I first started on FB - Me, Mrs Jags & Pickles were strutting our stuff on the beach & chatting to strangers - one of em turned out to be a 14yr old boy

I think
Issy players do events and sell things etc,I don't,I give the things away it is only a game but some do take it sooooo seriously there's often ructions at sales over a silly item.

 I'll bet!
Pickles was the first of us to get a tree house!  - She is indeed a delight

I drew the line at spending real money so fell behind in the keeping up with the Jonses

Time-management and Tycoon games are my favourite, some platform games are quite good.
I'm no great devotee of 'match-3' games unless it's as part of something bigger, but endless matching for matching's sake is not my thing. Hidden object games are even less attractive and shoot'em'ups are to be avoided. Puzzles and logic games are quite good too.

Having said that, not necessarily ALL games in the favoured genres are liked and not necessarily ALL games in the disfavoured genres are disliked, but it's hard to define what makes one game acceptable and the next not.

Big Fish Games are great.......particularly the Hidden Object games.  My sons love playing them with me, I tell them what they have to find and they delight in finding them.  Great for days like today when the rain is so bad they can't get out and are bored playing together.

Shockwave games are my new addiction, I signed up for them for a tenner a month and was planning on cancelling after downloading a few games but I have played so many of them that I will just keep the subscription because my kids can play them and I also gave me neice my account password so she can play them at her house too......so the tenner is stretching out well

No I  haven't...

Is it fun?
I think it is
I'm addicted to Bejewelled Twist at the moment, ten minutes turns into an hour because I can't stop!

Also used to be addicted to Animal Crossing on the DS. I'd spend ages running around town, picking flowers, posting letters, digging up fossils, fishing in the creek.
