Firefox

Download firefox from this site and use it to access the internet instead of Internet explorer and you should have a lot less trouble. Just click on the forefox 3.5 download button and follow the instructions. I'll be around for a bit, if you have any problems just shout.

   I think it means the taskbar.... along from where your start button is?

Maybe you should try firefox too Mo? Or google chrome?

Came into this thread too late to help, but I would just like to say that it is possible to keep using IE on the forum - I do. I know a lot of FMs have found it easier to change browsers, but most problems can be solved by changing your settings. IE's Privacy Protection System is just a little over-sensitive...

Yeah I kept IE....it just took me a while to find the eye thing with the red circle!

Queenie - when you come back on here, have a look further down SpiderMonkey's thread. It gives instructions on how to change your IE settings if you can't see the "eye" symbol. [IIRC, you have to click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options".]

Glad you are sorted Mo Fo   Enjoyment of this forum sometimes lies in things outside of here and can be frustrating to folk here who are not as IT as others.   We all live and learn Mo.

Are you using IE8, or an earlier version? The impression I get is that the new privacy stuff they brought in with IE8 is at the root of a lot of the problems. Different FMs seem to have different experiences, though...

I'd prefer it if the Twitter Twatter Twonk was kept separate from actual blogs, I used to love reading around the blogs but find now they are being knocked so far down the boards I can't find them.

For all those who have shut off all E Mails--- go to " Mange"   "Notifications"  and study it----- Some E Mails are relevent to enjoying life on here. Just tick or untick the boxes where you want to recieve mail from. cutting them all off can mean you miss vital info from someone trying to help.
