I haven't tried all the available options yet, and I must admit that my default position is still "lurker", but this place is starting to grow on me.


I do think that all the work done recently to organize online chats and other events has helped enormously to (re)create a sense of community.

I love it here Darlo.   I don't bother much with the extras but it's definitely more friendly than either of the other two places.

I still haven't got the foggiest about this place apart from this one forum, so it's business as usual for me. It doesn't seem quite as busy as the old forum though and I still don't like the format. Eve seemed much clearer to look at and get a good overview about who posted etc.

Edit: And, much as I hated the long quotation, I now seem to strangely miss them.

I like it here although since BB ended can't honestly say I've much in common with some threads here so have been spending more time on other Forums which discuss more things I'm interested in and could never be seriously discussed here, sad but true.

Keep at it Cologne.  You'll get used to it.  The lack of long quotes is a huge bonus.  There's some great Blogs out there and lots of Groups you can join.

Forget PMS--- We need PMA--- Positive mental attitude. If someone is unsure about something--- start a thread and folk here will help.  Once you get into the whole concept here you will be surprised at how much this place has to offer.

I am one of those fairly unadventurous people who take ages to grasp how things work, where they are, what to do etc...
But it is growing on me.
I have been struck by the help from fellow forumers who have been guiding idiots like me by the hand.
I also think our Mods are a huge bonus.
They are helpful and friendly (yet firm when appropriate.) They prove that Mods do not have to be enemies; I think they've got the balance right.
I am agreeably surprised that so many old forumers are here and have gallantly stuck with it.

Have you tried starting a topic on what you like?? What are they?  If you want me to start a group for you- i will do it as long as you will Admin/ Mod it. Let me know.

Can't see why they can't be discussed here Yellow Rose - if they're reasonable discussions.

I think the acid test of the forum is going to be what happens during CBB.

I think it will get busier as the next BB approaches .

Well said Brisket. The Mods here help folk-- unlike C4. There is so much here- once folk get the hang of the place. I say again if anyone needs help-- Ask. Either through Dialog ( at the top of the page ) or on their wall.

With a little help Brisket it's easy to navigate this place and glad you're getting there, if you have a play around with it or just having a look around you'll soon get used to it. Everyone is friendly here so will help anyway.

We should see more action when Celeb Jungle starts in November. Can't wait to see who is in there this year.

Really? I think the opposite...ok the few members here might post more, but its not like there will be a huge influx of new members I dont reckon. It just feels really stagnant to me and will gradually get less and less active imo.

It has felt nicer here recently, a lot more camaraderie and a lot less sniping from people trollling posters rather than addressing posts....but still, unless new people come then the spark soon dies. We'll all soon enough know each others opinions on everything and there'll be nothing left to say. Thats how I feel anyway.  But then I'm too stupid to work the rest of this place so what do I know!

It will get better Mo-- Don't forget this is a new place, and folk will be back here once BB starts again. All the spin off forums may have a few members- i know coz i have loads bookmarked. but it's nowt compared to here. We all need to stick together and make this place work.
