Hollie messed up, had a major tantrum and was allowed to sing again. Very unfair on the other contestants. I`m sure other acts could have delivered a better, second performance if they had been given the opportunity.
If I were Hollie`s mum, I would have taken her from the stage and not allowed her to return. The child is obviously not ready for BGT. Her mother has a lot to answer for, IMO.
The whole show annoys me
they have opened the floodgates for other wailing wannabees
There were a number of acts including youngsters who should have gone through but no!
We had to endure a silly old man on benfits supposedly doing break dancing with a gammy leg for which he claims disability benefits which we the tax paying pulic pay for
An idiot hanging things from his ears, old men doing the can can and whirling wheel barrows, that poor dof who couldn't tap dance The bloke who was told to eat melons while he juggled (has Simon Cowell lost it completely)?????
Just because Cowell doesn't like intrumental acts (presumably becuase he doesn't understand music) he starts rolling his eyes and buzzing his thing before they have started playing. Such an ignorant man
The little boy who played the drums was very good for his age and one years experience, the other little lad who didn't go through last night was much more entertaining than Holly Steel and a lot more composed and professional BUT
the kids who did well were all 12 years old,
out of primary school and learning to cope in the world of older kids so there is a noticable difference
I hope this child is withdrawn from the competition becuase I don't want her to win on another tantrum when there are far worthier contestants
There should be an age limitation to avoid this sort of thing including an upper age limit Subo has been guilty of tantrums this week as well
2 Grand were not worthy either
and I want the Saxophonist to win

It's very, very wrong IMo ...............if the talent is there it will always be there ........it'll come through later when they're emotionally ready.
FGS .......who would put their 10 year old throgh that?
exactly! all 10 year old girls 'want' to do x factor, BGT and all that crap. mine does but apart from the fact that she couldn't hold a note to save her life i wouldn't put her under that sort of pressure in a million years. a case of the parent trying to live out her fantasies through her child perhaps?

I agree There are contestants who would make much bettr use of the opportunity
I noticed that at one point there was blubbing but no tears
Holly has done this before

hello
I've not time to read whole thread just now, but I'm so glad the first thing I've read about her this morning is this. I was fuming last night and thought I was the only one since she got into the top 3.
They should have a different show for children if they are going to treat them differently. No way would the juggler have a 2nd chance to start again if he dropped everything.
Putting her into the final is also cruel on her, she cannot cope.

And it worked for her, again.
hiya puds
that's the first thing i thought. if she's like this in the semis what will she be like tomorrow? will her mum still make her go on after reading about all the hate?
if she cared about the wellbeing of her girl she'd withdraw her now and let the barcelona boy go through.

What has made me mad is the way she is being portrayed as Courageous....I was screaming at chubby chops Piers Morgan last night for coming out with such utter rubbish. Todays tabloids are saying the same.
What the hell am I missing......a spoiled madam got into a talent show with a sob story of bullying (not dismissing that btw) messed up a performance, threw a tantrum, got mummy to hold her hand and plead for a second chance and sails through to sing again tonight. NOT FAIR!
The judges are a disgrace, they are there to be impartial but have proven time and time again that this is not the case. What other contestant got a second chance? None.
I really am boiling over the whole fiasco last night and now need to take a chill pill

I felt sorry for Holly when she froze and started crying untill I realised she was having a bit of a spoiled tantrum,it was very disturbing watching a 10 year old girl pleading for another chance to sing again, she seems a very confident little girl to go on stage and sing in front of a big audience and the judges,I just hope she does not win on the sympathy vote and pick up the prize money ,she has a very long way to go if she has a singing voice which I honestly dont think she has ,but I am sure her parents will push her and fear it will all end in tears for Holly ,as far as the reactions about her on twitter I find very hard to believe the things that have been written about her there are some very sick people around ,if I were her mother I would pull her out of tonights show saying that she would never have been there in the first place.
Piers will be on BBC news shortly for interview
Mercifully, I don't watch the show but I have shoved down my throat nonetheless. I saw the girl on the news this morning and just found the whole saga accutely embarrassing She came across a a bit of a brat tbh.
the 24 hours news channel I meant to say
Awww i felt really sorry for her, good luck tonight lass

I agree
so long as he doesn't sing Barcelona or Nessum Dorma
fgs! she is 10 years old and she is getting all this hate!! I was peed off with her tantrum last night but I realise now its her mother who should have all the flak, she taught her this behaviour ...I supose everyone just loves susan boyle now..pass the scapegoat

Hi Bagel
I certainly don't 'hate' her Bages, I just think she is spoilt. There is a difference. Besides if her mother 'taught' this behaviour then it stands to reason that she is a brat. Just because she is 10 it does not mean she is incapable of being spoilt rotten. But just my opinion.

I have nowt against the girl, she has a lovely voice, interesting to see how she does tonight, plus if she did win and then goes on to sing in front of the Queen and breaks down again it will make a mockery of the entire show.
I think it annoyed me more that when the judges were giving they casting votes that the mother was on the stage with her...what the hell
Poor Natalie, when she lost and burst into tears she was just sent off the stage by herself. Hollie was a spoilt little madam and her mother was no better. And as for "she is the bravest girl in the world" try telling that to a child fighting cancer.

It's a reality show phenomenon. I find it the strangest thing.
piers thinks its right she was given another chance

I love the African guy and the mouse
The stuff on youtube is disgusting. I would hate my daughter to have to read that crap.

......... and there speaks a voice of reason. I absolutely agree longcat.
I felt so sorry for little Natalie earlier in the week - she was upset but, as you say, she had to walk off stage alone with no second chance!!
Piers needs to go visit little children in Great Ormond Street to see exactly what 'brave' means in a child. His remark was totally OTT 'bravest little girl in the world' indeed!!
What an asinine remark to make to a child throwing a tantrum!

It's all bloody great for the ratings though, which is actually what it's all about. A bit of controversy, but not too much, is ideal to guarantee coverage in the media.
It (whatever it is) just made the 11:00 News. Interviws with Piers Morgan and everything.

There's a few more thousand for tonight's show, tuning in to find out what the story is all about.

I watched about a minute of her on youtube. Why does she sing in that fake posh accent?
i felt sorry for her tbh... but i don't think she should have got through... if she was faking, she's a spoilt little girl, and none of the adults would have got a 2nd chance.
If she wasn't faking she is obviously not ready.

Jeez, I think she acted like a complete brat and should never have been put through but I've just seen a tweet that said she would now get raped when she goes to secondary school FFS!
Why the hell would you let your kid be put in the public spotlight when there are so many nutters around.
What sort of world are we living in? Why on earth would anyone say something like that?
Not only does it make me incredibly sad - it scares the hell out of me. I always thought the folks on Jeremy Kyle were a bit far fetched ...........sadly it would seem there really is a horrible/disgusting ubderbelly in our society.
She's a little girl of 10 years of age FGS .......why would anyone say something like that?
It was some idiot lad by the looks of it. I suppose he thought it was funny. I have no idea how anyone would think that was funny. Most of the stuff is either about her being a brat that shouldn't have gone through, or from old ladies and little girls who think she's brilliant. But there are some really awful things being said too about wanting her to die and stuff. I just know I wouldn't want my child being put in the spotlight and having things like that said about it.
This really saddens me
That mother should be ashamed of herself but I bet she never once thought this would happen - if anyone said anything about my daughter like that I'd be devastated.
I hope for Hollies sake pushy mummy pulls her out of the contest to let her develop her talent and grow up a bit.

Well in my opinion its not caused a 'little bit' of controversy its caused a whole shed load
This child is now apparently being threatened
There are some nasty people out there which worries me for my own child growing up in it

bloody madness init? that such UTTER SHITE should be included in a national NEWS broadcast, but then it IS all about making bucks for some TV channel n thats a big "old boys club" as in you scratch my back etc,
but hey OUR media and newS doesnt manipulate us or anything, doesnt try to tell us how or what to think, gets RIGHT up my pipes it does, that such TWADLE gets such FREE publicity,
all a bit contrived ......all a bit too staged ......all a bit not so great or fun.....but hey she got to final thats what counted hey mommy dearest!
