People are going crazy over some stupid TV show which is meant to be a bit of fun Shake Head Mad Roll Eyes, taking it way too far. She didn't deserve to get through but this is just pure madness and unfair on poor Hollie for a girl her age to be the victim of such cruel remarks is just unfair. BGT really has to think next year about maybe putting the age limit up to about 16/17 for kids. Seeing kids 10/11 crying etc on stage is unfair and they should be focusing on school, if they want to do something like BGT then wait till they are ready. They can enjoy their childhood and have fun first then go into it totally prepared and mature for it.

FGS .......who would put their 10 year old throgh that?

I just don't know how they're allowed to have children competing with adults. It is much too much pressure on children, when they should be out playing with their friends and enjoying their childhood.

Children if they want to take part should have a separate category.

Thats what my kids said.

That said,Simon managed a band called Angelis a few years back, and one of the lasses was ten and DID hold her own against adults singing(she was very used to it in local choir events).Found myself comparing the two girl tonight and the lass I knew would have wiped the floor with Hollie Steele.

If I was Hollies mum I'd be very embarrassed I'd put my kid trough all that tbh :s

Kids can be surprisingly supportive.
Some are actually proud of being at school with a performer(this is from personal experience)

I agree with most of what you say Darlo, but I do think *some* young kids are really good and talented and there has to be SOME kids in the business for the roles of children in films and plays, but Hollie is DEFINATELY one that should NOT be up there....; in fact, she should not be allowed on stage again for at least 10 years. Her mother should take her off stage NOW. But yes, the hatred against her is horrid. She is after all, just a child. Shame on her parents for letting her go back on stage again Shake Head

The likes of Shaun Smith and Shaheen have impressed me with how they have coped with all of it Nod. The likes of Hollie, Natalie Okri etc are too young to deal with this kind of pressure.

I wouldn't say it was an age thing Darlo, as that young lass who sang 'BEN' (Connie someone???) was only 3 or 4, and she was amazing ... Hollie is TEN; if she can't cope at this age, then she never will. Some kids FAR younger than her cope on stage fine...

My daughter sang on stage at school aged 6, and she was 10 times better than Hollie, and one of her mates sang too, and forgot the words and just apologised and said thank you, and walked off politely..., and she was 7. Much more talent and more decorum. Hollie is basically a bit of a precocious brat I'm sorry to say. her age doesn;t come into it.

Like I said ^^^ not entirely true Darlo.I know Cowells worked with other priamry school age kids who've been accomplished and professional. Was just thinking she's the age I teach and shes incredibly immature tbh.Makes this big deal abuot being a 'normal girl from Accrington'.Check out the school uniform,tho...doesnt look like a state primary to me.Nor do the kids I teach have a tantrum if they're not picked.

Do you know something we dont. He hasn't lost the show ......................I'm betting him and his dad will walk this (if not Diversity).

Don't think Stavros's son will get picked on simply because they don't take themselves too seriously ...........unlike little Holle ...........IMO she really wasn't emotionally stable enogh to be there.

I am just watching it on demand now. Just got up to the break where they have taken her off, can't believe what I have just seen. Frightening. As others have said so many other kids have coped so well on this show. That little lad who did the jungle book last night, he didn't even get thhrough and he gave them a smile and said he would carry on. Unbelievable. Really shocked at what I've just seen.

There are now over 100 hate groups about her on Facebook, including Hollie Steel is a C**T, Hollie Steel is a T**T, Hollie Steel is a Retard, The Holly Steel Assasination Campaign...
Her parents and the producers of this show should get this kid out of the show immediately and probably out of the country for a bit too. She maybe a brat and she certainly shouldn't have been put through but this is going to affect her for the rest of her life now.

Well, until about July this year anyway. Then everyone will be struggling to even remember her name I expect.
