At heart I like rock too (though I reckon mine is slightly different genre to yours..   cos I wouldn't call it metal)..    If I could only listed to one band for the rest of my life it would have to be Placebo


I still like dance music...   but the old stuff just for a trip down memory lane (though there are a few classics I will never tire of like "Baby Let me love you for the night" that Karma posted earlier)..
but there is soooo much crap around these days.   Faithless still deliver though.

when I hear "Charly says...."    the hairs on the back of my arms stands on end!  

I have the endless Rock v Metal debate all the time. What most see as Metal I see as Rock. I love it all though 

I saw Faithless at T in the Park last year and they were AMAZING.

Me in my first flat, no parents, my first full wage, all my mates round and plenty of booze and stuff 

they are aren't they?   I've seen them quite a few times (V Festival & Brixton Academy)

They were one of the highlights of my weekend. Muse were the best but Faithless were a close second

Metal to me is WASP, Iron Maiden and stuff. Rock is Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, Poison, Alice Cooper.

Well that one just got a compliment from the kids. They said it was worth a listen and not too embarrassing 

One has just asked for the Rocky soundtrack though so I'm outta the rave thread for a while
