It might just be my opinion (or my age) but Rave was the 90s and had to have loads of synthesizers (sp)

(my love of backroom stuff comes from hiding from the sweaty fraggles covered in Vicks and the peeps with whistles & bongos, that had made the hardcore room a fight waiting to happen)

yeah....  it really was.      

though I am happy with synthesisers, or the early piano-y stuff...    as long as it had bass
