I can't get hold of any decent pepperoni. Tesco used to sell a half-decent one in their Finest range. They have stopped selling it 
So I went into town at lunchtime cos someone at work said a shop on John Dalton St. sold it but the shop was no longer there so I walked all the way to Deansgate station because I remembered getting some obscure Italian cake ingredient at a deli type shop just past the station called "Love saves the day". The shop was having some building work done on it and the door was open. I asked (for future ref.) the man with the lump hammer "Is it being refurbished or have they closed for good?" – "They’ve closed". So I went all the way back up Deansgate and tried Selfridges. Loads of Biltong, no pepperoni
I had been traipsing about for nearly one and a half hours by this time and you know when you have put in the "shopping time" you feel you should buy something? Even if only to justify the effort?
Well, I bought 2 jars of Turkish delight (pistachio and rose and lemon), 5 bars of Green & Black choc bars and 3 boxes of truffles (dusted strawberry, dusted lemon and pink champagne).
And all because of Tescos!
