AWwww I lurrve Badgers. So cool. And hard as nails, I saw one in Bath once that must have been run over as both it's back legs didn't work and it just pulled itself along on it's front legs! Eeker Poor thing but he was still out and about and didn't look skinny at all. Smiler Apparantly if you see one at the roadside then you shouldn't approach as they could still be alive and lie there to gather enough strength and then move on again. Hug for the badgers. Smiler

I know that, but cats are really decimating our wildlife,I'd never have one because of that.Oh and the fact I've got a free flying budgie and a hamster as well as the rabbits. Big Grin

Saying that we are "Kitten" sitting at the moment,a little 8 week old,the family that had him had two boys aged 2 and 3 too young for a pet and were too rough with it.He's going to a new home, there is another cat there,so we are looking after him until he's had his jabs.He is sweet, but he's "hunting" us already.I love when he puts his paws up like "I surrender"
He's a little long haired tabby with white paws and a bib. He's shut in my niece's room at the moment. We have it and the others on a rotation basis in the living room.

oh I agree with the wildlife thing thats why hes had a bell since he started going out,

and where we live there are lots of mice etc and no doubt we would have problems in the winter months with em if it wasnt for Charlie,
I hate him killin rabbits though and I try to rescue em when it can, ony today I had a fight with him over a vole that he brought in,
I got it off, him, and let it out of the front door,......it proceeded to run straght around into the back yard....where Charlie was waiting..hehe, but I got him inside before he got it,
mind you he doesnt get it all his own way,
the crows give him a bad time he came running in the house last week with a bunch of crows CAWING and swooping at him, I looked at him later and he had a small clump of fur missing on the back of his head,...looks like they saw him off Big Grin

my dog was good with other animals, she loved chasing birds and rabbits but the one time she caught up with one she sat next to the bunny and nudged it with her nose as if to say "come on... your supposed to run away" and then looked at me as if to say... "mummy why won't it play with me" It ran when i got close though.

Another time there was a baby bird somehow got into our kitchen and i was on here and she barked and barked until i went through and she was just sitting looking at it.

She also brought us a live frog when she was a puppy
