The disease is what I will remember him for. He did a documentary a few years ago about assisted dying. After seeing Mr Cinds mother die with/from Alzheimer's. He had a point. And I hope he got the death he wished for.

I'm in the same boat as Jackson. I know nothing about his books, although when they were described on the news I thought that I might take a look eventually. There used to be a poster called Captain Vimes and I think they were a big fan. As the previous posters said, he was famous in our house for his dreadful disease and hats off to him for the extra publicity for something which affected our family too.
