about what?  the charge or the no charge.   Not kidding on either.  Might have changed it - it used to be free, then they stopped it being free unless  you were a pensioner or on benefits.   The pest control guy I got was a local independent (always support my local traders if I can) andhe just said he didn't do anything and maybe i'd call him again or recommend him to friends.   I think I gave him a tenner or summat anyway for putting my mind at rest

Can't believe you have to pay.

I would think that if the council is your landlord then surely it's their responsibility.

ah... I'm not a council tenant... but they apparently now they treat wasps and bees free for everyone because they can be a danger to the public.

Well... yeah... a bathroom tumbler. Spiders terrify me and I presume that's where they're coming from.

They come up plugholes don't they? Or is that a myth

It's a myth, spiders can form their legs to make an air tight bubble, so when they are washed down a plug hole they do that and then climb back out once the water flow stops.

That was a quick bath.

is it bad that I read that without the 'and' in the middle?

Although there have been times I've got in the bath to find a man nearly up my arse.  Always turns out to be a deep sea diver or man with a big machine gun who has fallen off the side.  I really should get my son to keeps his toys elsewhere.

Ells

I have a corner bath so all my gubbings are on the window ledge and I went to have a look to see what I had there:

  • 2 candles in glass holders, and a candle hanging from a bronze fish holder that's hanging from the middle of the window.
  • shampoo and conditioner
  • dog shampoo
  • green glass cat that once contained bubble bath but now empty and makes a nice bathroom ornament
  • biorΓ© face scrub and oilatum shower gel
  • penguin glove flannel

she does his laundry she may as well do this

I think she would draw the line at cleaning my bathroom.

Of course, I was just fibbing about the soap scum for comedic effect
