Very quick quiz.
Simply identify the voices. Name the singers.
(The first one is a duet so it is numbered 1 & 2)
Apart from the singers names, any other information would earn extra credit.

Sorry brisket, a bit before my time. I think I used to know who sung what I assume is the original 50s version of "The Great Pretender", but I can't bring it to mind.
Freddy Murcury did a cover of the Great Pretender, IIRC, and # 5 was the theme tune to "Birds of a Feather", if that's any help?
1&2. Bing Crosby and ?
3.
4. The Platters
5. Rosemary Clooney (George Clooney's aunt)
6.
I know that number 6 is "Poor Wandering One" from "The Pirates of Penzance", but there are many people who have sung that. It could be Linda Ronstadt singing, but that is a guess.
1.?
2. Theresa Brewer
3. Burl Ives
4.The Platters
5. Rosemary Clooney
6. ?
1&2. Alice Faye and Tyrone Power. ( I wanted to be Alice Faye when I grew up)
3. Burl Ives
4. The Platters
5.?
6. Deanna Durbin
So far 5 correct names have been mentioned.
One still remains unidentified.
brisket, so is the missing one number 4 - Tony Williams from The Platters?
No El Loro it isn't
I just listed The Platters as the group rather than their individual names.
Well spotted on Linda Ronstadt by the way.
I am pretty much impressed by Linda Ronstadt. To be able to sing this coloratura stuff, as well as nice country music and straight ballads, makes her very versatile in my book.
No the one still unidentified is the male voice in number 1&2.
It's not easy!
Well I seem to remember Johnny Ray singing Alexander's Ragtime Band.... but I don't think it's him
I think you are right in both respects Baz. He did and it isn't.
Is No.1 Don Ameche, as he was also in the film?

Well, 1 out of 2 isn't bad Thanks Brisket
Is No.1 Don Ameche, as he was also in the film?
No, sorry Yogi, it isn't.

Don't be sorry Brisket, It was a bit of a wild guess.
Hint:
Although Alexander's Ragtime Band heas featured in a number of films, this particular version is not from a film.

Now you tell us!
I did find a poor quality clip on Youtube of a version of Alexander's Ragtime Band sung by Theresa Brewer (suggested by Elkie) and George Segal. So is this the answer?
El Loro - following Elkie's lead you got there!
It is indeed George Segal.
The version you hear in this thread is not from that video clip, but from a record which they made together.
Baz, - interestingly, I too thought it was somebody who did not normally sing. But on investigation I find that he is described as "actor and musician".
Apparently he is an extremely accomplished banjo player who created his own ragtime band.
So, the final list is:-
1. & 2. Teresa Brewer and George Segal
3. Burl Ives
4. The Platters
5. Rosemary Clooney
6. Linda Ronstadt
Thanks for doing the quiz folks.
Thanks for the quiz Brisket - even though I only managed to get two right.
You're welcome. It's the taking part that counts Yogi

That's what they always say to losers.
You are not a loser in my book.

Aww, thank you.

Nor me Baz - and thanks
Thanks for the quiz Brisket I would never have thought of George Segal singing at all but recognized Theresa Brewer's voice from old records from years ago. I hope you do more quizzes soon
Thanks very much Elkie. Very kind of you.
Great quiz, brisket
The clip I found of Teresa Brewer and George Segal singing Alexander's Ragtime Band is too poor quality to be worth posting here, but I have found this:
Thanks for posting that El Loro.
One of my favourite records is of turn-of-the-century (the last century) songs performed by Joan Morris and William Bolcom, and Under the Bamboo Tree is on it.
It's nice to hear it here by Teresa Brewer and George Segal.
