I have a jacket spud in the microwave, on for 8 minutes. But how long do i put it in the oven for afterwards and what temperature?

I know the best way to do a jacket spud is to oven cook it completely BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME. Please help, its an urgent matter of something and something else.

Thanks.

8 minutes is a bit long if you're putting it in the conventional oven AS WELL.

Use a really hot oven if you want a crispy skin.

I only ever do mine in the oven so dunno if this is right

I'd do 5 mins in the microwave and 30 in the pre-heated oven

Sounds similar to what people there were saying EFFT.

Nice result for Button at the weekend. I was at the Emirates and they announced the win at half time to a big cheer from everyone in there

I don't mind Button winning. It's the sycophantic way the commentators go on about it that drives me up the wall.

I'm a bit dubious at the gas mark 8 myself.

Me too...............................i hope he pricked it with a fork - he could have a potato explosion on his hands!. I've had that happen - very messy and very disappointing if you're hungrily waiting!

Yes, when someone mentioned pricking, I had a vision of him scraping exploded potato off the walls and ceiling  of the microwave or oven for the next few days.

yeah, I know the pain, But really, I would do something else, nachos, normally!! There is something dead off putting (for me) knowing a jacket has been in a microwave. But then, I dont like bits in orange juice, and I am only just getting my head round fruit in my dinner....i am a bit odd about some foods
